A unique natural multi-mineral complex derived from the rare red seaweed Lithothamnion , which grows in the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the north-west coast of Iceland. During its life cycle, the red algae absorbs unpolluted, mineral-rich seawater, then dies (calcifies), sinks to the bottom of the ocean before being harvested. It contains bioactive calcium, magnesium and 72 other trace elements (e.g. boron, molybdenum, cobalt, nickel, copper, phosphorus, fluorine, selenium, iodine, sodium, iron, sulphur, manganese, zinc, etc.), several of which are of no significance on their own, but which interact synergistically within a multi-mineral complex.
