My niece started taking iron (Fe) in September 2024 when her hemoglobin (Hbg) level dropped to 35. To give you an idea - this value is virtually incompatible with life.
In normal practice, only a blood transfusion would help in such a condition anymore. Unfortunately, due to the condition of her veins, which were already difficult to impale, giving a transfusion was not possible.
